Goodbyes...

So ever since I went through the temple for the first time I've been attempting to attend every-other day, and so far it has been a pretty succesful attempt. I love goingto the temple, and I wish I could go there every day on my mission as well. Haha I am serving a mission for another purpose though. So even if that means waiting until I come back home to attend again, that's ok with me. As of right now, I am with my mom doing the final things on the todo list. And its only thirty-two hours (and conting) until I drive to the airport, for my flight to the MTC!!! On Friday the 18th of march, my lovely friend, melissalyn, hosted a "farwell shindig". It was one of the best times I can count with my friends. It is going down in my book of history. We went to this park in plano, played "Capture the Flag", ninga and this other game called "Missionary Tag". For those of you who don't know what missionary tag is, it is a game in which you pair up with another person and form a circle, with two people in the middle. The two in the middle act like a cat and a mouse (the cat is trying to catch the mouse), during this the "mouse" tries to hook onto a pair of other mice. When a mouse hooks onto a pair, the mouse on the opposite end has to run from the cat. It is quite a entertaining game if I do say so myself. Anyways, we also took lots of pictures and ate yummy refreshments, that later got stollen by some silly teenagers. All in all it was a great farewell. Saturday I attedned tbe temple with some of my friends and got to spend some quality time with them. Sunday was my family ward farwell talk and I hear from those who attended, that itwas really good. Sigh of relief for that. After church my family hosted an open house to say goodbye to my family ward and other friends. I' so glad that those who were able to come, did. Now today was filled with preporations for Wednesday. We purchased the final needed items, cleaned up the remnants of last night, worked on clothing alterations and figured out how to pack everything into just two suitcases (now that's a job haha). Well its 11:30pm right now and siblings are asleep, so I'm off to help mom finnish alterations and finnish packing. Next post to come soon. Love, Heather

Awesome Video

I found this on Youtube searching for one of my friend's vidieos. It is completley FANTASTIC. The BEST cover for this song I have ever heard. I love the lyrics to begin with and now its to an indtrumental melody that actually helps you think about the meaning, other than it being just a dance song. I thought I should share it. Enjoy!

Heather

Oh Complete Peace and Happiness

On Tuesday the 8th of March, I had the wonderful opportunity to go through the temple for the first time. I absolutley loved it! The wonderful blissful pure calm that you feel in the temple is unmatchable. I was able to think and not worry about anything. I knew I was in the house of my Heavenly Father. I am grateful to those who came to experience my first time with me and it meant the world to me to see their support. I am making a goal to go at least 3 more times before I enter the missionary training center.
For other news, as of now, it is only 10 days till I leave for the mission. I'm soo excited!! Shareing my testimony of the gospel to those who are willing and ready to hear it. Sharing the spirit and the pure joy this gospel brings.
I gave the first of two farwell talks today and it went really wel1. Even though I stayed up till 1:20ish to prepare it. My topic was on "Thy Will Be Done" and the spirit helped me to know exactly what to say. I'm not going to tell you the details of my talk right now because I have that same topic for the second talk. So I'm going to revise what I already have written and share the same principle.
Well, I'm going to sign off now so I can sleep for monday's list of things to do.
Love,
Heather
